Founded by Thomas Hoback in 1986 with purchase of 110 miles of track connecting Indianapolis to Sullivan from the Illinois Central Gulf

Tracks owned by Canadian Pacific Railway between Terre Haute and Bedford, Indiana, including running rights on other lines purchased in 1990 affording direct access to Louisville, Kentucky, Ohio River ports and the Chicago nationwide rail gateway

Intermodal business partnership with Canadian National (CN) began in 2013, granting direct access into Asian markets via Canadian west coast ports

Intermodal TEU’s surpassed 40,000 in 2019

Acquired 12 acres adjacent to the Senate Avenue intermodal facility in Indianapolis, launching a three-phase expansion

• New directional entrance gate with in/out kiosk

• 450 LED lit chassis parking spaces

• Additional 2,000 feet of pad tracks to increase ramping capacity to 6,000 feet

• Turn basins widening to accommodate 53-foot containers

Operates three transload facilities in Indianapolis, Merom, and Odon, Indiana

Solar energy installed at headquarters in 2021, which delivers half of the consumable energy used at the site

Active community participant, operating annual Santa Train as well as supporting education and public safety through community grants

Two-time, Railway Age “Regional Railroad of the Year” (2018, 2016).

Business Development Award (2020) for working in partnership with Venture Logistics to build a 406,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art, rail-served distribution center in Indianapolis.
